PROCINCO: Industrial training program

Regardless of the type and nature of a company, training is an essential tool that seeks the continuous improvement and integral development of its personnel, both personally and professionally.

With this vision, in 2001, with the resources of the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank, IDB, the Integral Training Program for Competitiveness, PROCINCO; Developed as a project until 2004, when it was institutionalized as a permanent Training Program of the Honduran Association of Maquiladoras, as a benefit for all its affiliated companies.

This program has 3 primary objectives that contribute to:
  • Support the competitiveness of affiliated companies through the implementation of practices related to the production, quality, maintenance and other processes.
  • To improve the working conditions of companies affiliated specifically in the area of ​​occupational health and safety.
  • Contribute to the strengthening of relations between employees and employers through programs that lead to better job performance in the company.

PROCINCO, along with INFOP, has developed an exceptional and recognized trajectory both nationally and internationally. The  PROCINCO Training Program has had a significant impact not only with the direct beneficiaries but also in the communities where the companies operate and where their workers live. Likewise, PROCINCO has collaborated all these years in a consistent, categorical and transcendental way in the sustainability of the companies affiliated to the Honduran Manufacturers Association.

Training Components:

This component develops the technical skills of plant personnel (at all levels) in aspects related to production processes.

The modalities served are:

1 . Training in Company on issues inherent to the production processes:

  • Lean Tools: Manufacturing Systems, Total Productive Maintenance, Statistical Process Control, Value Chain Mapping,
  • 5s Methodology, etc.
  • Productivity: Sensitization to Productivity, Factors of Productivity, Efficient use of resources, etc.
  • Quality: Quality in the Source, Statistical Tools, Quality Awareness, etc.
  • Troubleshooting: Root Cause Analysis, Quick Changes and Poka Yokes in Continuous Improvement, The New Seven Tools for Problem Analysis, etc.

2.  Training and certification of employees, based on labor competencies.
The three employee certification programs are: Quality Auditors (40 hrs), Sewing Instructors (48 hrs) and Production Supervisors (48 hrs).

3. Computer Courses
The courses taught are Excel (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced), Autocad, MS Word, Access, Project, Power Point and Prezi. All these programs have a duration of 24 hours, distributed in different sessions and in the schedule that the company suits you.

4. Permanent Projects
Through this modality Lean Manufacturing Tools are implemented according to the approach that is required in each company. The courses offered are: Standardized Work in Productive Environments, 5s Methodology, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Autonomous Maintenance and Quality at the source.

5. Technical Courses:
Through this modality courses are developed with internal instructors of the companies, such as Electricity, Cross Training for Sewing Operators, Basic Mechanics, Training of Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, among others. It is possible to mention that with funds INFOP validate some hours of these trainings.

Through this unit the courses related to the aspects of Industrial Safety and Occupational Health are taken care of. Through this component PROCINCO offers the best technical option in advising and training at national level on related topics, divided as follows:
Industrial Emergencies: Includes courses ranging from disaster preparedness, emergency plans, training of brigades and certification of industrial emergency brigades based on labor competencies.

Industrial Safety:
These include courses related to basic safety concepts, accident prevention and investigation, safety in high risk jobs and the safe operation of forklifts.

Industrial Hygiene:
It includes aspects of the ergonomics applied to the workstation, the programs of prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and conservation of hearing.

Environment:
These courses cover the basic criteria on the protection of the environment and the implementation and management of good environmental practices.

Through this component courses are given that allow people to systematically increase learning that not only leads to a better job performance in the company but also allows them to contribute to create a more harmonious working environment. Transactional Analysis, Self-Motivation, Family Budget, Life Project, Mental Health and Self-Esteem, Motivation to Teamwork, etc.

Management skills:
Assertive Communication, Personnel Management, Creativity and Innovation, Supervision and Leadership, Management Meetings and workshops, Customer Service, Emotional Intelligence, NLP, etc.

Change Management:
Effective Time Management, State of Change, Change Management, Paradigmatic Change, Stress Management, Planning and Decision Making, etc.

Organizational Climate:
Effective Relationships, Effective Discipline Work, Work Ethic, Maintenance term parking, Situational Leadership, Conflict Management and Negotiation Strategies, Labor Mobbing, etc.

Training of Training Facilitators (FOCAP)

In addition to the in-company courses, Certificates of Completion are offered in the following areas:

This unit prepares employees who manage companies in matters related to national labor legislation, tax compliance, compliance with market requirements, as well as issues related to Corporate Social Responsibility and other social processes related to the administration of The human resources that lead to social compliance in companies.
